A Beginner's Guide to Manifestation: What You Need to Know

Popular culture often presents manifestation as simply thinking positively about what you want and then acting to achieve it. However, this is a distorted view of the practice and I believe we are in the early stages of understanding this concept.


Whether we realize it or not, we manifest continuously whether unconsciously or consciously. Every day we have the incredible ability to bring our beliefs and desires into reality.


While we may not fully understand this phenomenon, scientific research, religious studies, and spiritual practices hint at its existence. Throughout history, humans have shown their capacity to turn ideas and aspirations into tangible realities, whether through breakthrough innovations, the emergence of new nations, the establishment of successful businesses, or the creation of governing bodies. In simple terms, manifestation is the extraordinary process of materializing something from nothing, bringing it into the physical world where it can be seen and touched.

I often wonder—do we first create something in our minds and then connect with our soul to bring it into reality, or does our soul urge us to bring something into existence, prompting us to keep thinking about it? What comes first? Is it part of our purpose? I don't have all the answers, but as a perpetual seeker of knowledge, I continually ponder these questions and I guess I'm not the only one!





While I'm unsure which comes first - desire or destiny I do know a tried and tested method to manifest change in your life.


Step 1. Feeling the vibes

It's really important to tune in to the energy of a situation. Everything around us is made up of energy, including our thoughts and beliefs. When we're really wishing for something or actively working to make it happen, it's so crucial to pay attention to the vibes surrounding that desire. Are you placing too much importance on the outcome? Does it make you feel agitated or impatient? This can give us a real clue about how we truly feel about the situation. I want to emphasize that what you truly feel about a situation is different from what you believe you think about it. This is a crucial first step in manifesting a different reality.


So, how do you guague what you truly feel? Let's take the example of aiming for a super healthy body:

Start by closing your eyes. Think and say what you want. For instance: "A body free from any pain or disease." Notice any emotions that come up, whether good or bad. Pay attention to the energy around you. You can simply ask, "What is the energy around me?" Keep tuning in to this subtle energy for 20-30 breaths, and soon you will get a sense of it. Take note of whether you feel good or not about it and if you truly believe deep down that you can achieve that super healthy body.


I want to emphasize that what you truly feel about a situation is different from what you believe you think about it. This recognition is a crucial first step in manifesting a different reality.

Step 2. Getting on the same wavelength as your goals

This step can be quite tricky, especially if you've been wishing for something for a long time. It's like trying to remember the taste of a favourite food you haven't had in years.

Imagine you've been dealing with chronic pain for decades. It's normal to forget what it feels like to be pain-free. Similarly, if you've been striving for optimal health, it might be hard to imagine what that truly feels like. But don't worry! Even if it's not easy at first, getting on the same wavelength as your desired state is totally doable. Here are a few ways to do it:


  • Targeted Meditations: Specific meditations can help you connect with the energy of optimal health.

  • Energy Healing Techniques: Exploring methods like Reiki or energy healing can help in this process.

  • Incremental Improvements: Take small, consistent steps towards your goal.

  • Self-Understanding: Delve into your values and motivations. Why is optimal health important to you?

  • Visualization: Imagine yourself already experiencing optimal health. How does it feel? What can you do?


Remember, the goal is to gradually integrate this energy into your daily life. If it feels like a chore, it's a sign that you're not in the right mindset.

While this shift may not happen overnight, it's also unlikely to take years. The key lies in the following crucial steps.


Step 3. Living with intention

Every choice you make, no matter how big or small, should align with what you want. If you're not sure what that is, you might need to go back to Step 2.


Continuing with the same example: Get checked out by a doctor to figure out what's going on. Talk to a few different ones if you can. Do everything you can to show yourself, the universe, and the cosmos that you want a healthy, disease-free body. It's not just about setting your intention; you also need to make sure your actions match up. For instance, if you want to be healthier but keep indulging in junk food, are you really being intentional? If you keep finding excuses to skip the gym, are you truly serious about your goals? It's okay to slip up sometimes. We all do it! But when you feel like you've tried everything and don't know what else to do, that's where inspired action comes in.


Step 4. Taking inspired action

The universe has a way of guiding you towards your desires, and it's often in the most unexpected ways. Think of it like a treasure hunt where the clues are all around. You might meet someone who's been through a similar situation and can offer advice or support. Or you could discover that the root cause of your problem is something entirely different than what you initially thought. Fixing this underlying issue could be the key to unlocking a whole new level of well-being. The key is to stay open and receptive.


Pay attention to the dreams, signs and synchronicities that appear in your life.


Step 5. Timing is Everything

This part can be tough, but once we truly embrace this concept, life starts making sense and gives us perspective. Understanding that everything happens at the perfect time can be both comforting and frustrating. It's a test of your faith and builds resilience. This waiting period can make you a different version of yourself - one that is more tolerant and open to an optimally healthy body, capable of emotionally and mentally taking care of i


Every step you take towards your desired state is progress. Stay open to the journey and remain patient. Timing is everything, and as you learn to embrace this, keep the faith, trust the process, and remember that every small action counts.
